Where? In our home studio (1709 Hill Ave) or your home or office. We require a minimum of 10 people paid before the event if you are hosting in our studio.  If we are traveling to your community, the minimum number of paid registrations will vary.  Call us for details.

If you have less than 10 people, call us and we might have some suggestions to help you out. The cost is $35 per person in the Lakes area and $35-45 per person outside of the Lakes area. We suggest you invite more than the minimum in case of last minute cancellations.

How do I schedule a private party?
Call us at 712-336-8186 and we will assist you in finalizing your arrangements.

Do I need to make a deposit?
A deposit equal to three registrations is required to confirm your event.  If you meet or exceed the minimum number of paid registrations before your event, the deposit will be refunded to you.

When is the balance due?
The balance is due 48 hours before your party, so we have enough materials for everyone at the party.

How do I pick the art?
You can pick your Artwork here, we can create custom art work for your event. If you would like custom artwork you must book your party and consult with our artist at least 30 days in advance.

What else do I need?

We will need the following information:

  • Theme of your event
  • Your phone number
  • Location of event
  • The painting you have chosen or custom artwork consultation
  • Estimated number of attendees

Can I bring food for my guests?
If your event is at our home studio (1717 Hill Ave) you can absolutely bring food. However, we respectfully request no seafood at our studio.  Be sure to bring plates, utensils and napkins. We do provide cups for your beverages; don’t forget to bring the beverages.
If we are in an off-site venue the ability to bring food and beverages is dependent on the location.

How long does a party last?
An event typically lasts 2-3 hours. We need approximately 2 hours to complete our painting, including the essentials…socializing and drying time.

What do I wear?
We will provide aprons, but you should wear paint friendly clothes. We are painting with acrylic paints; paint will get on your hands, so please wear paint friendly clothes. Leave expensive purses and jackets at home, we would hate for an accident to happen. Creative Spirits is not responsible for paint damage.

Do I need to clean up?
We also ask that you clean up any food, drink and party supplies. We’ll take care of the rest.

What about music?
Music is a very important part of all of our events. If you would like to create a playlist bring your ipod or iphone along and we will plug it into our speaker.
